Dear Gardening Friends, Each year my spirit is refreshed and my energy and enthusiasm ignited as spring approaches. Come for a visit and feel revitalized, too, as you surround yourself with vibrant flowers, eye-catching foliage and sweet springtime smells. See our wide variety of unique and unusual plants that you won’t find at other greenhouses. Let us help you design a container or answer gardening questions. Ask us how you can save money and still have an outstanding yard or a “full” looking planter. We will show you, too, a few simple gardening practices that will help the planet stay “green” and save you some green. Water conservation, recycling, use of organic chemicals and fertilizers and growing your own food are all ways to economize and make a difference. By creating a vegetable garden, a “blended garden (edibles in with your flowers) or a container vegetable garden, you can watch your budget and provide safe food for your family. If you are juggling a busy schedule, container gardening is a quick and simple solution (we will even plant your container for you!). To keep that container looking beautiful MHN is offering free “Plant Doctor” clinics to show you how to deadhead, prune, identify and treat insect or disease problems. Go to the “Events” link for more details on the “Plant Doctor” clinics. Finally, I grow a wide variety of hard-to-find annuals and perennials, many of which are not on my plant list because they are in short supply. Plan to visit us more than once throughout the season, as we put out these gems that have finally grown big enough to sell.New

opening day is May 2 this year. Hope to see you then! P.S. Mill Hollow Nursery has always only accepted cash or personal checks. Because I own a seasonal business, the cost to add credit/debit card use would require me to raise my prices across the board. I prefer to keep my prices as low as possible; therefore I will continue to accept only cash or personal checks. I sincerely hope you don't find this policy too inconvenient. ![]() ![]() Vermilion in Bloom is all about flowers, trees, and planting seeds of community pride and friendship throughout the city.
